STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS— In cooperation with the Texas Parks and Wildlife, Erath County Farm Bureau and many other area businesses, Tarleton State University’s Student Wildlife Society is hosting Tarleton Outdoors on April 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Stephenville City Park. The event’s focus is a fun educational day, where participants will learn about wildlife and the importance of conservation.
Children will learn about wildlife, plants and the outdoors in general. A free hotdog lunch with chips and drinks will be provided.
It is a come-and-go event for the entire family with most booths directed toward youth 17 years old and younger. For younger children, parents should plan on participating. Parental supervision is required.
Events include arts and crafts, Ducks Unlimited, safety in archery and shooting, Smokey the Bear and other outdoor lessons and activities.
