Tarleton to host Parents Day Out

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS—Tarleton State University’s office of parent relations and the athletics department will host Parent’s Day Out on Feb. 28.
“Parents Day Out is a time for parents to join their student in a fun day of activities and educational programs,” said Lathes Towns, parent relations coordinator. “Parents are a vital part of their student’s life.”
The day will begin with a breakfast in the Thompson Student Center Ballroom A at 9 a.m. The day concludes with the women’s basketball game at 6 p.m. and the men’s basketball game against Angelo State at 8 p.m. in Wisdom Gym.
Lunch will be provided in the dining hall at noon. Visitors will be charged $5.90 for the meal and students may use meal plans to cover the cost.
Other events include a presentation by the Tarleton ROTC, a Tarleton Parent’s Association meeting, a free cook-off competition, a planetarium show and a production of “West Side Story” presented by the theater department.
