Tarleton to host 17th Annual Alumni Academic Forum

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS—Tarleton State University will celebrate the success of 10 former students during the annual Alumni Academic Forum on March 30. The event will begin at 8 a.m. with an open reception in Ballroom A of the Thompson Student Center, and continue at 11:30 a.m. with a recognition luncheon in Ballroom B.
The Office of Alumni Relations and the Tarleton Alumni Association sponsor the program. Two prominent graduates from each of the university’s five academic colleges will be honored during the program. Additionally, five outstanding faculty members will be named recipients of the O.A. Grant Excellence in Teaching Award.
This year’s Academic Forum honorees are Georgia Baker and Katrina McCary from the College of Business Administration; Hilliard (Jumper) Davis and Deborah Hass Armstrong from the College of Liberal and Fine Arts; Dr. Gail Roaten and Vernon Newsome from the College of Education; Carl Wood and Courtney Cloud from the College of Science and Technology; and Pam Wright and Dr. Jimmy Cheek from the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences.
The O.A. Grant Honorees are Dr. Boyd Collier, College of Business Administration; Dr. Leslie Spotz, College of Liberal and Fine Arts; Dr. Wendell Sadler, College of Education; Dr. Bowen “Bo” Brawner, College of Science and Technology; and Dr. Kimberly Bellah, College of Agriculture and Human Sciences.
