Equine Center to host upcoming rodeos

STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS—The Tarleton State University rodeo production class will host a free rodeo on Feb. 5 and Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Equine Center, located on College Farm Road off of Lingleville Highway in Stephenville.
“With all the Pro Rodeo Cowboys Association rodeos going on in the area right now, we will see competitors show up from all over the nation,” said Mark Eakin, rodeo director. “We have National Finals Rodeo qualifiers entered and two Women’s Pro Rodeo Association world champions.”
Events will include bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, breakaway roping, team roping, steer wrestling and goat tying. The evening will start with all the roughstock events then move to the timed events.
The Equine Center will also host the Double N Cowboy Ranch Rodeo on Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. The rodeo will be free and include 20 ranch teams competing in four events.
